As nonprofits, Junior Players and Kitchen Dog Theater rely on the generous support of individuals, corporations and foundations to continue serving our community.

This summer, you have the opportunity to participate in a unique summer solicitation campaign with Junior Players where it's a battle between Shakespeare's Benedick and Beatrice. By making a donation, you can cast your vote to settle the score of a rivalry that has spanned the globe and hundreds of years once and for all. And the best part? Every dollar donated ALSO benefits over 15,000 kids and teens annually by helping Junior Players provide free arts education programs to those who would not have access otherwise!

Did you know that in the last 5 years, 86% of Kitchen Dog Theater's mainstage productions have been either regional or world premiers? By making a donation to Kitchen Dog Theater today, you help bring creative, thought-provoking works of art to the DFW community. It is the mission of Kitchen Dog Theater to provide a place where questions of justice, morality, and human freedom can be explored. Please consider making a donation today to help Kitchen Dog Theater continue bringing these incredible works of art to our community.

But that's not all!

Both Junior Players and Kitchen Dog Theater have more coming in 2024!

Kitchen Dog Theater is excited to bring Love and Vinyl to Good Records June 6 through 23. A new play about browsing for records and romance in the digital age! Best friends Bogie and Zane visit their local record store and leave with so much more than a stack of vinyl in this salty/sweet, smart romcom. Co-Artistic Director Christopher Carlos directs. “The dialogue is snappy and funny….. and an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. In American entertainment, so much is a rehash of something else. It’s refreshing to experience a fresh story alongside a fresh format.” – DC Theater Arts. Junior Players is bringing Much Ado About Nothing back to Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre July 30 through August 4 with an exciting new twist! In Shakespeare's play, Much Ado About Nothing, power defies legacy. Throughout the show, we see greed, jealousy, and deception make a valiant effort to foil the love of young courtship. This comedic play unfolds as Leonato, leader of Spain, awaits the arrival of Don Pedro of Aragon and his victorious army of Portuguese soldados (soldiers). “Donde hay poder surgen la codicia, los celos, el engaño y el amor.” Additionally, the winner of our summer campaign will be announced LIVE during the closing night curtain speech of our Summer Shakespeare production, Much Ado About Nothing, on August 4, 2024, at 8 pm at Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre, so mark your calendars! We hope to see you all out at the park for this incredible production!
