Join Junior Players for our Discover Dance Workshop! This workshop will provide students with an overview of dance techniques and styles and will be taught by local professional choreographer, Ani Vera. All students who attend this workshop will receive an automatic callback for our upcoming dance production, Discover Runway Dance: From Street to Chic.

This workshop will take place from 1 pm to 3 pm on April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at Dallas College (Richland campus) and is open to all current 9th through 12th graders.

Join Junior Players for our Discover Shakespeare Workshop! This workshop will provide students with an overview of mechanics behind Shakespeare’s works and will feature a small performance open to family and friends on the final day of the workshop from 3 pm - 4 pm! All students who attend this workshop will receive an automatic callback for our summer Shakespeare production, Much Ado About Nothing!

This workshop will take place from 1 pm to 4 pm on April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas (1835 Young St, Dallas, TX 75201) and is open to all current 9th through 12th graders.

Our Dance Residency Festival is officially back in person for the first time in 4 years!
This dance residency program features students from 13 Middle and High Schools across North Texas, some of whom will be performing live at this festival! These talented young participants paired real life stories of the things they see most affecting their communities with our professional choreographers to create dance and movement pieces to reflect the challenges and champions they wish to express.

These auditions are open to all current 9th - 12th graders and you do not have to have previous experience to audition.

Auditions will take place on May 4, 2024, Location TBD. There will be two audition timeslots - 10 am to noon, and 12 pm to 2 pm. Please come prepared to stay for the entire assigned time slot. Dancers will be released periodically throughout the two hours but you may be asked to stay for the entire period of time.

Arrive ready to move and learn! Once you arrive on site, our professional choreographer will teach you a dance combination. You will be given time to rehearse before auditioning with the combination. All dancers will be taught the same combination.

Callbacks will take place on May 11, 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm at Bryan Adams High School. You will be contacted by a Junior Players' staff member if you are called to callbacks, please keep that date and time open on your calendar until you hear from a Junior Players' representative to ensure you are able to complete your audition process.

Rehearsal dates will be:

June 10, 2024 through June 25, 2024; times tbd
June 27, 2024, 10 am to 10 pm, tech day
June 28 - 29, performance dates
