Citywide Playwriting Workshop

Open to all current 7th - 12th graders and completely free this playwriting workshop is a supportive environment for young storytellers who wish to explore the craft of playwriting. We will share practical tools, spark the imagination, and demystify the editing process so the writer can lead with confidence and conviction no matter the assignment. This approach will not only cover the basics of a well told narrative, but will help the playwright establish clear circumstances as to elicit greater impact for the audience. No matter the genre, crafting a solo play, 10 minute play, or full length script, this workshop is for any student who dreams to call themselves a writer.

This workshop is taught by local artist Jenny Ledel.
