Join Junior Players for our Discover Shakespeare Workshop! This workshop will provide students with an overview of mechanics behind Shakespeare’s works and will feature a small performance open to family and friends on the final day of the workshop, May 3, 2025, from 2 pm - 3 pm! Any 9th - 12th grader who attend this workshop will receive an automatic callback for our summer Shakespeare production, A Midsummer Night's Dream!
This workshop will take place from 1 pm to 3 pm on April 5, 12, 26, and May 3 at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas (1835 Young St, Dallas, TX 75201) and is open to all current 8th through 12th graders.
This workshop will be taught by local artist, Kyle Lemieux. Selected Theater credits: New York; developed and appeared in C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E which became the Tony Award winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Chicago; Goodman, Court and Chicago Shakespeare, Regional; La Jolla Playhouse, International; Trinidad Theatre Workshop. Has worked with; Robert Falls, Les Waters, Michael Greif, Derek Walcott, Charles Newell, Barbara Gaines, Kyle Donnelly, Mark Wing-Davey, Jonathan Silverstein, Steve Cosson, Sarah Ruhl, Richard Nelson, Athol Fugard. Has served multiple times as a panelist for the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs. Founder and Artistic Director of Dallas Actors Lab. Associate Professor of Drama, Chair & Director of University Theater at University Of Dallas where he has directed nearly 20 productions. MFA: UCSD.
