About Us


Katrina Tamez is the Junior Players’ Grant Writer Associate from Dallas, Texas. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas in Denton, where she received BA in Applied Arts and Sciences with concentrations in Communications, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, Marketing, and Religious Studies. Having held positions in services, account management, lead instructing, and program management, Katrina’s diverse employment history has enabled her with several years of experience in both the business agency realm as well as the non-profit world, contributing to her grant writing expertise.

Katrina was an active member of her Speech, Debate and Theater team as well as the Royse City Television team. She currently is an enthusiastic volunteer in the community, a fitness and cooking aficionado, loves traveling the world with her husband and two dogs, all while attaining a Master’s in Communications.

Katrina’s love for Junior Players began when she was an audience member of the 2017 production of Othello at Samuell-Grand Park Amphitheater. She aims to bring her love of performing arts, her diverse employment history, as well as her writing and communication skills to the Junior Players team.
