Stacey Key, Program and Office Manager
Stacey Key is a Ph. D. candidate in Ethnomusicology with a related field in Anthropology at the University of North Texas. She holds an M.A. in Ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick, Ireland and completed her B.A in Music at Geneva College. Stacey’s interests include American popular and religious music, Irish traditional vocal music, cultural change, and applied research. She has taught traditional and popular world music, but her primary research interest is in Irish traditional laments. Stacey has held leadership positions in the Society for Ethnomusicology – Southern Plains Chapter and is an active member of student ethnomusicology and musicology groups at the University of North Texas. Her interest in the arts began at a young age and she has studied a wide range of musical practices, including African drumming, salsa dancing, and traditional Irish singing. Stacey is thrilled to be working with the Junior Players and to share her love of the arts with the youth of North Texas.
